Realising the potential of synthetic biology for health


At present, there are few tools for engineering mammalian cells in a predictable manner. We will use the power of high throughput and combinatorial synthetic approaches to design new tools and technologies that will offer more sophisticated controls of cell behavior. This will provide us both deeper insight into the mechanisms of how cells behave and as means of engineering useful new functions into a wide range of host cells.
